“someone told me there’s a girl out there with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair.
took my chances on a big jet plane, never let them tell you that we’re all the same.
the sea was red and the sky was grey; i wondered how tomorrow could ever follow today”—led zeppelin
[yet another] one of my very favorite blogs, the glamourai, features kelly who shares her thoughts on fashion and design. i love the way she mix/matches her outfits with patterns & textures.. it’s hard not to look adorable when you’re that pretty though..not even fair!
here’s an example from one of her most recent outfit diary posts:
jean jackets just can’t/won’t go out of style..
and i’d seriously contemplate cutting my hair like hers if i could look as cute as she does! she posted a little tutorial on how she does her hair.. obviously if you have short hair, try this.
she pins up sections of her hair and curls each kind of vertically and then …voila!
lucky freak. (just kidding)
btw, i curl my hair a couple days a week.. like wavy-ish curls which actually look kind of pretty sometimes- anyway, i walk outside and boom: curls gone. back to straight, boring mop. boo. ;)
i rrreally do not like shopping for work clothes. not sure what it is about them, but they bore me. well, that’s sort of true- if i was able to buy the work clothes that i really like, i’d have 0 dollars left.. so, i have to work with what i can.
anyway, i’m in need of a few more pretty pants for this fall.. so i decided to opt away from the tradish AT/JCrew & looked at VS for a change..
a little monday morning “sunshine” of sorts for you…
1. i am a creature of habit: i have yogurt with kashi for breakfast every.single.day. & until today it’s been pretty legit, i mean obviously since i eat it every dang day.. but today i got a little wild and tried kashi toasted berry crumble & it’s the BEST kashi everr..& it’s healthy/doesn’t taste like cardboard. [disclaimer: this is not julie, so all you little losers who still read her blog can lock it up.. i didn’t mention my husband(?) or dog, or take a picture of my food so it doesn’t count]
exhibit a: …woops.
2. i don’t really consider myself a “b*tchy” girl, but sometimes, it just feels good to talk a little ish.. even if it’s a little mean & unnecessary.. it’s good for the soul. it’s like chicken noodle soup. [y’all get that one?..clever, i know] anyway, after reading the 100th post on “betcheslovethis" - i realized that i actually don’t talk about my best friends like those crazyasses do, but just other “acquaintances”/people i dont’ actually know.. and it’s not even that often..? whatever. anyway, read the article & see if you can relate. if you’re a huge biotch you might actually talk about your “besties” like that.. but let’s be real, if you actually say "bestie" you can bet your buns we’re not friends and no one cares what you say anyway because that’s the stupidest word.. like, ever.
